Dusty Pink and Mauve Florals for Romantic Caltech Athenaeum Wedding

Simona and Alex’s romantic Pasadena wedding reception at the historic Caltech Athenaeum was full of elegant architectural elements, dusty mauve florals, and cascading greenery. This was definitely a swoon-worthy wedding by HoneyFitz Events and we can’t wait to share it with you! The picturesque landmark, ornate Corinthian columns, and magnificent chandeliers set the perfect backdrop for this Romantic Caltech Athenaeum Wedding. The couple arrived in their white classic car after their church ceremony ready to celebrate with their family and friends. We were lucky to be a part of making that dream come true!

We dressed each table up with a low and lush centerpiece featuring roses, tulips, ranunculus, and jasmines in shades of dusty pinks and mauves. Some were in gold vessels matching the gold Chiavari chairs while other tables featured tall cylinders with floating candles but the same floral composition nestled within. We did something similar but on a larger scale for the sweetheart table to keep within the theme. We used floral arrangements to frame our couple and added cascading greenery on a wrought iron stand to really highlight them.

While we were not at the church to design, we were happy to see our floral bouquets and boutonnieres shine. The girls were dressed in mauve that really made our bouquets pop in shades of ivory, dusty pink, and green. The men looked handsome in their tuxedo and their white floral with a sprig of dusty pink boutonnieres. Together, they blended so seamlessly giving off a timeless look.

There were so many details from this Romantic Caltech Athenaeum Wedding we wanted to note but among the lovely couple, the florals, and the venue itself we have to note one of our favorite detail had to be the signature drinks with their cats on them. We love when couples add personalized touches to their wedding day. It makes it more fun and just them! While we can probably keep talking about all of it, we will just let the gallery speak for itself!
