As we officially enter the first few weeks of Spring, we are looking ahead to warmer days and vibrant color palettes with inspiration drawn from this modern floral-filled wedding shoot at Giracci Vineyards!
If your first thought when it comes to bold shades of coral and blushy pinks is that they might overpower your look, we’re here to tell you differently! In fact, adding in some of these modern touches is a great way to warm up your big day while keeping a contemporary feel.
While this particular venue is generally known for a more rustic and traditional look, we see here how any space can be transformed with your choices in florals, decor, furnishings, and textures. Spoiler alert: a phenomenal transformation ahead!
This incredible setting allowed us some darker elements to play with, while not eclipsing the overall look of the day. The dark wooden shelving proved that this color palette was bright enough to stand up on its own, and really add a pop in contrast. We loved the look of solid-colored vases mixed in with transparent glassware, which drew our eyes to something different every time we turned around.
In the lounge set, we see some lighter-toned furniture, including a gorgeous blushy pink sofa, but in spite of the fact that we are seeing some of the same colors, we avoid a washout with the striking shapes of the floral arrangements. It’s important not to forget that color is just one element in the great orchestration of floral coordination!
As for the ceremony area, we see these flowers brilliantly paired with sleek, beige-toned furniture from our friends at Archive Rentals, which gave us the perfect opportunity to mix in modern arrangements without looking too busy. These were present not only in the bouquet and boutonniere set, but they flowed throughout the venue in various displays, down the aisle, and even provided the backdrop for the ceremony with a beautiful asymmetrical look.
There is warmth felt throughout this shoot, coupled with just enough cool-ness to bring you back down to earth, like a nice breeze on a sunny afternoon. As seen in the flat-lay with gorgeous invitations by Jen Simpson Design; with lovely, wispy blues, and even a touch of purple to help balance the understated design. We love the tattered edge look and feel it’s a great way to add texture to a seemingly straightforward element of the day.
Now, of course, we have to mention the woman whose lens helped this vision come to life, Sarah Mack Photography. What a wonderful job she has done capturing the overall picture of this modern floral-filled shoot!
It goes to show that the uniqueness of your day truly lies within a creator’s eyes, and that you should make certain that your bridal team – including planner, photographer, florist, and anyone else you might choose to include have the same vision, ensuring that all parties are satisfied with the finished product. After all, some of the smallest details might be the ones you end up remembering most fondly, and often times can act as the glue for your overall look.
We could not be happier with how this modern floral-filled wedding shoot turned out, and we hope it brings couples and creatives plenty of inspiration for the many ways that a seemingly rustic wedding space can be transformed!
